How We’re Preparing For A Demanding Christmas Period

Christmas is well on the way now, and for many people, that means heading straight onto online shopping and getting presents stocked up. It’s also this time of year that families start stocking up on treats and goodies, too. All of this, for a courier company like ours, means we can expect a pretty busy festive period ahead.

This, especially considering the year that most people have had to endure thanks to Coronavirus, means a delivery period that’s going to be busier than most. But how are we making sure our customers and clients can be confident in our services?

Preparing for the Unprecedented

Any good courier company should have known by now that Christmas 2020 was going to be a pretty strange one. It became clear earlier this year that conditions imposed by the rise of COVID-19 meant that people were likely to be locking down and staying home well into the final weeks of 2020.

We’ve paid attention to recent trends. Already this year, we’ve noticed huge upturns in home deliveries. That’s to be expected. Surveys are showing that more and more of us are preferring to shop from home, rather than to head to the high street. While that’s bad news for physical stores and shopfronts, it’s meant a boom for online businesses. That, of course, is where we come in!

We understand that people don’t feel safe doing all their shopping in-store yet. We are embracing growing needs – and Christmas always blows yearly figures out of the water.

Expansion Plans

At this time of year we always assess whether the vehicles we have on the road are likely to be meeting the demands of our clients. This is why, several months ahead, we audited our entire courier company to ensure that we were going to be fighting fit for Christmas 2020.

It’s taken a careful, extended recruitment drive, and additional vehicles in our fleet, to make sure we can keep up with demand. We’re confident that we have more than enough couriers ready and on the road to help make sure Christmas is convenient for all our clients and their customers.

Always Taking Responsibility

There’s an argument that, at Christmas, a courier company should take greater responsibility for package tracking. That, to us, is a fallacy – we take responsibility for the whereabouts and ultimately the delivery of all our packages from point to point, with no exceptions.

However, this festive season, we’re implementing tougher logistics and clearer tracking. This helps us to keep a closer eye on where each and every one of our consignments are heading, and it also ensures that our business clients, as well as end users and buyers, have full oversight with regard to where their gifts are going.

When it comes to Christmas 2020, you need a courier company who can deliver on time, above expectations, and who can – above all – keep up with what’s sure to be an incredible season for online retailers.

Hopefully we have answered any questions you had.
